Marta Catalano wins an IMS New Researcher Travel Award
Congratulations to Marta Catalano on winning an Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) New
Researcher Travel Award!
This distinguished award allows her to use the assigned funds to attend and present her work in a future IMS Meeting. Notably Marta is the only recipient based in Europe. The award is a further recognition of Marta’s outstanding research achievements as she has recently stood out as one of the winners of the 2021 Student Paper Competition, an award presented by the Section on Bayesian Statistical Sciences of the American Statistical Association.
Marta completed her PhD in Statistics at Bocconi University in January 2021. In addition to being an Affiliate of BIDSA's Bayeslab, she is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Torino and Collegio Carlo Alberto and will join the University of Warwick as Harrison Early Career Assistant Professor of Statistics next Fall.
